A courageous Wind Power industry :

An explosive growth in turbine size and efficiency, created by a daring wind power industry, helped by visionary and responsible politicians and investors all over the world, made it happen.

The example of Denmark :

In 2006 roughly 20 % of Denmark's electricity demand is produced by Wind Turbines on land and offshore.

The success of the early Danish wind power industry is the result of a cooperation between :

Buyers of the early Turbines, ready to take a risk.

The TVIND schools in western Jutland.

Visionary politicians in the Danish parliament.

Selfbuilders, Entrepreneurs, Blacksmiths and small and medium size firms, also willing to take a risk.

Engaged individuals in anti nuclear organisation OOA and later sustainable energy movement OVE and DV.

Individuals at the Risø National Laboratory and the Technical University of Copenhagen.

Still later - engaged people in the electricity producing sector (Elsam etc.)

But first and foremost, we stand on the shoulders of two Men,
who developed the basis for the commercial breakthrough of Wind Power:
